Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer is celebrating the Year of the Tiger in 2022 with the launch of the TAG Heuer Carrera Year of the Tiger Limited Edition. The Year of the Tiger, the Chinese zodiac sign for 2022, evokes images of a brave, confident, and adventurous king of the wild. These same images perfectly fit the TAG Heuer Carrera, making this a fitting testament to the great history of the brand's signature collection.
Boldness, confidence and a spirit of adventure
In 1963, Jack Heuer created the Carrera collection in homage to the legendary Carrera Panamericana Mexico auto race. Launched in 1950, the race was known for being the most dangerous, and only the most experienced drivers were allowed to participate.
In 2022, TAG Heuer will launch a limited edition model, the TAG Heuer Carrera Year of the Tiger Limited Edition. This exceptional watch features a sporty yet traditional design befitting the Year of the Tiger. The elegant dial features understated pale and dark blue stripes with a watery blue hue, evoking the texture of tiger fur. The pale blue stripes are brushed with a blue PVD coating, while the dark blue stripes are made of a material with a textured finish that resembles painted paint. The sapphire crystal case back, adorned with a blue tiger pouncing on its prey, offers a glimpse of the watch's movement. This watch is limited to 300 pieces, and the case back is engraved with "ONE OF 300."
The dial also features features reminiscent of tiger fur. The indices, three hands (hour, minute, and second), calendar window, and the TAG Heuer logo at 12 o'clock are also crafted in 18K rose gold. The same color is used on the elegant calfskin strap, which is meticulously crafted with two lines of gold stitching.

In October 2021, the prestigious Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer redesigned its signature Carrera collection, launching a new generation of the TAG Heuer Carrera Three-Hand Collection.
The brand's newest brand ambassador is actor Ryan Gosling, the perfect person to convey the significance of this iconic timepiece in the history of watchmaking and motor racing. Acclaimed for his performance in the film Drive, he is the perfect person to embody a collection inspired directly by motor racing.
