Contemporary artist Orie Inoue's solo exhibition "Phenomenon (PHENOMENES)" will be held at EARTH+ GALLERY in Tokyo's Koto Ward from January 9th to 24th, 2016.
Orie Inoue is a contemporary artist based in France. Based on the idea that "listening to the breath of the tiny creatures that surround us may be our first understanding of ourselves and others," she creates works that use natural objects as primary materials to express the existence and vitality of nature and living things across the entire space. Her works have won numerous awards, including the Galerie Metanoia "UN SEUL GRAIN DE RIZ" Public Award and the Cite Internationale des Arts.
The exhibition will primarily feature installations showcasing "phenomena occurring in the corners of nature," created through Inoue's keen and sensitive observational eye. It will provide an opportunity to experience the subtle sensations evoked by confronting nature.
