Shiseido has cast actress and model Kiko Mizuhara in its New Year's newspaper ads. The dynamic movement of the skincare lotion, set against the company's corporate color red, evokes the beauty of "a moment and a lifetime." This year, marking the 142nd anniversary of the company's founding, further emphasizes Shiseido's spirit of innovation and its ongoing commitment to striving for "the ultimate beauty." The TV commercial, available in two versions (30 and 60 seconds), features Eikichi Yazawa's "Toki yo Tomare" (Time Stop), a million-seller in a 1978 summer foundation commercial. The song's vocals, paired with the slow blossoming of flowers, convey the idea that the accumulation of "momentary beauty" leads to "lifelong beauty." Additionally, the 60-second video from the TV commercial will be displayed as a banner ad on Yahoo! Japan's homepage for seven days until the 7th. Mizuhara will also appear as the image character for Shiseido's flagship makeup brand, "Maquillage," in TV commercials and magazine ads starting on the 21st.
