On November 19th, Shiseido's global brand, "SHISEIDO," held a party to introduce its SS14 collection, "CELEBRATE COLOUR with DICK PAGE," at IDOL in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo. Shiseido's artistic director and makeup artist, Dick Page, flew to Japan from London as a special guest. He commented on the new collection, saying, "The wide range of colors is what makes it stand out. I don't have a favorite color; I want people to choose the one that appeals to them. Enjoy using colors." Also in attendance was top model Sui He, who was chosen as the makeup line's muse starting this spring/summer season.
The venue, where DJs were from Tokyo Dandy, featured a photo spot where people could take photos holding a lip-shaped prop that recreated the new product, Lacquer Gloss, large-format photographs of Page's studio, and a table where people could enjoy the brand's latest items like a coloring book. The event was directed by popular model Yoshiko Chris Webb, who appears in fashion magazines such as Very, and many people involved were seen enjoying the party.
The SHISEIDO makeup line was born in January 2009, combining Shiseido's technology with Page's sensibility. The SS14 items include seven new colors of the popular "Lacquer Rouge" (3,675 yen), as well as the transparent yet vivid "Lacquer Gloss" (8 colors, 3,150 yen each), the cream eyeshadow "Shimmering Cream Eye Color" (8 colors, 3,150 yen each), and the eye concealer "Sheer Eye Zone Collector" (2 colors, 3,780 yen each). They will be on sale from January 1st next year at approximately 250 department stores nationwide and on the website "Watashi Plus".
