Model Asami Imajuku was born on January 7, 1978, in Miyazaki Prefecture.
Scouted locally, she made her modeling debut in the magazine "an・an" in 1996. She subsequently appeared in magazines such as "mini," "JILLE," and "smart," becoming a popular street fashion icon. In recent years, she has also appeared in fashion magazines such as "SPUR" and "ELLE JAPON," as well as the US edition of "NYLON" and the Taiwanese edition of "VOGUE."
In addition to modeling, she released four singles and three albums as part of the music group "IMAJUKU" in 1998. She also made her acting debut in the 2001 film "Blue" and starred in the 2006 film "LOVE MY LIFE." In 2008, she launched her own brand, "asamiimajuku," which has opened several stores in Hong Kong.

In her personal life, she married a male stylist in March 2013.
