Voting took place from December 31, 2013, to January 6, 2014. Of the 74,379 total votes, Perfume received 12,510, or 16.8%, of which 74,379 were cast. Many comments noted the impressive projection mapping technology. Perfume performed "Magic of Love" under the direction of Rhizomatiks. Second place went to AKB48, whose current leader, Yuko Oshima, recently announced her graduation, with 11,153 votes. Third place went to Mariko Takahashi, who closed the Red Team, with 11,120 votes.
