Cosmetics brand RMK will release its 2014 Spring/Summer makeup collection on January 17th. This will be the first collection since Kaori took over as creative director from founder Rumiko. An event is also planned to coincide with the release at the Isetan Shinjuku store.

This spring/summer collection is based on the concept of "PLAY ON PINK," proposing versatile makeup looks using various nuances of pink. "Kaleidoscope Nuance Color" (2 types, 5,040 yen each) is a nuanced color that adds natural shadows to the skin by blending six colors designed like a kaleidoscope. Two types are available: beige pink, which brightens the skin by one tone, and coral pink, which creates a healthy impression. "Kaleidoscope Eyes" (5 types, 3,360 yen each) is an eye shadow that plays with colored pearls layered over a pink base. The color pearls on both sides come in two varieties: one with a soft glow from a blend of polarized pearls, and the other with a dazzling sparkle from large glitter. "Curry Scope Cheeks" (2 varieties, 3,150 yen each) is a two-color cheek color set designed with a geometric pattern. The base color and shiny color give the skin just the right amount of shine and translucence. Also available: "W Crayon & Gloss Lips" (5 varieties, 3,990 yen each), a set of a matte lip crayon and a translucent gloss; and the "Face Color Brush" (3,675 yen), made from 100% goat hair for ease of use and a flawless finish. Four new colors have been added to "Nail Color EX" (1,575 yen), including clear red and pink, and the "Shiny Base & Top Coat" (1,575 yen), featuring holographic glitter for a sparkling effect, are also available. All products except the Nail Color EX and Face Color Brush are limited in stock. In addition, a collaborative event with the magazine SPUR, "SPUR x RMK Happy Makeup Day," will be held on the 7th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku on January 12th. Kaori and magazine stylist Yoko Kageyama will hold talk shows at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM (reservations required). A makeup lesson by an RMK artist, complete with tips from Kaori, is also available by reservation. Other events include demonstrations on the 2nd floor of the main building (3:30 PM on the 12th) and makeup advice (from the 11th to the 13th), as well as makeup lessons on the 1st floor of the main building (from the 12th to the 14th). The 2014 Spring/Summer makeup collection, including the coral pink and green pearl Kaleidoscope Eyes in exclusive Isetan and Mitsukoshi colors, will be released in advance on the 8th.
