On January 11th, KDDI, Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings, and Origami held a New Year's Fashion Night, an invitational event for "au Smart Pass" members, on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store after closing time. The event featured catering and a variety of performances, including a live DJ, flair bartenders, mimes, and magicians, while shopping. 100 pairs (200 people) were selected by lottery from among KDDI "au Smart Pass" members who also downloaded the social commerce app "Origami," and 100 pairs (200 people) were invited from Isetan Mitsukoshi customers. The three companies began their business partnership in October 2013. While they have been working on various initiatives to offer new shopping styles, this was their second time using an in-store event. Isetan was responsible for the event's content, including performers and catering. KDDI, which has 8 million members, was in charge of advertising and attracting customers, while Origami was in charge of designing the announcement page and other aspects, making this a collaborative project that made use of each party's areas of expertise.

Origami Executive Vice President Fushimi Shingo said, "We started this project with the hope that a collaboration between Isetan and KDDI could create a big movement, but to be honest, we didn't know how many people would come to Isetan after it closed. However, we felt a definite response from this event. We would like to expand it even further by continuing to hold events in the future."
