Jan 22, 2014

OUTDOOR PRODUCTS, a trademark owned by Itochu Corporation, has signed an exclusive domestic franchise agreement with the casual fashion brand SANMARINO.
The purpose of this franchise agreement is to actively open OUTDOOR PRODUCTS brand stores throughout Japan. Based on the concept of "Relax & Smile," the store will sell popular daypacks, bags, miscellaneous goods, apparel, and more, aiming to be a casual sports store that appeals to a wide range of generations. The first store, the Lumine Est Shinjuku store, opened on February 11th. Plans include opening stores in shopping centers in the Tokyo metropolitan area and other major cities, with a goal of expanding to 30 stores nationwide within five years.
OUTDOOR PRODUCTS was founded in Los Angeles in 1973. It offers specialized sports equipment for hunting, skiing, and other activities, including the "452 model," known as the "synonym of daypacks." Its products are accepted by outdoor scenes in over 60 countries around the world, primarily in the United States and Japan. In November 2012, Itochu Corporation acquired the trademark rights for the brand in 19 countries and regions around the world.

San Marino is a casual fashion brand that was founded in 1969, primarily selling men's products. For over 40 years since then, it has been planning and selling trendy, affordable items. Currently, the company has expanded its business to various formats, including mass retailers, specialty stores, and select shops, in line with the times. It operates three stores in Tokyo, including its directly managed store "NAVAL" which opened in Harajuku in 2005.
