J.M. WESTON will begin selling new women's shoes at its Aoyama and Isetan Shinjuku stores on January 20th. The new shoes, unveiled to coincide with the opening of the brand's new Saint-Honoré store in France, feature a masculine design. They are based on a classic form, carefully crafted by artisans using traditional methods. The heavily perforated "Derby" shoes are available in two styles: a sporty double rubber sole and a slim-fitting leather sole. Seven other styles are also available, including the simple "One-Piece Oxford" and the "Patent Loafer" with grosgrain ribbons reminiscent of the side stripes of tuxedo pants. During the event, customers can order their favorite shoes from over 100 types of leather and various stitching colors. J.M. WESTON is a long-established French shoe brand founded in 1891. The women's collection, which had previously only been available for order in Japan, was launched in earnest in the fall of 2012. As with the men's collection, Michelle Perry serves as creative director for both the women's and men's collections.
