Opening Ceremony and Scarlett Johansson release collaboration collection for "her"

Jan 11, 2014

Opening Ceremony has released a capsule collection, "her by Opening Ceremony," inspired by director Spike Jonze's latest film, "Her," due for release on June 28th. Jonze and costume designer Casey Storm incorporated the distinctive wardrobe worn by lead character Theodore Twombly into the collection. The collection is unisex and includes Theodore's signature button-down shirts and high-waisted pants, as well as iconic color-blocked sweatshirts, pastel and charcoal sweatpants, jackets with patch pockets, quilted shirred coats, and printed T-shirts featuring scenes from the film. The collection is available in Japan at the Omotesando and Shinjuku Lumine stores. It is also available internationally in New York, Los Angeles, and London. "Her" is a sci-fi love story set in Los Angeles in the near future, featuring the protagonist Theodore, played by Joaquin Phoenix, and the latest artificial intelligence (OS), Samantha. Scarlett Johansson, who played the computer voice of Samantha, won the Best Actress award at the Rome Film Festival for her voice-only role, which became a hot topic.
