"KISS THE HEART #3," a program to support the reconstruction of East Japan through art and to support young artists who will lead the future, began on January 22nd at three core Isetan Mitsukoshi stores in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Produced by TOKYO FRONTLINE, this program, which first began in 2012, is now in its third year. This year's theme, "LOVE & PEACE with Arts," focuses once again on Tohoku, ensuring that the power of recovery from the earthquake disaster is not forgotten. Twenty-one artists participated. The works will be exhibited in the show windows of Isetan Shinjuku, Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi, and Mitsukoshi Ginza for approximately one month. A charity auction of the exhibited works will be held on March 9th. All proceeds (excluding consumption tax) will be donated to the Children's Art House, an organization that works in Tohoku with a focus on art and children. Additionally, workshops will be held on February 8th, 9th, and 11th where parents and children can experience the activities of the Children's Art House. All workshops will be held at the Ginza Terrace/Terrace Court on the 9th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi (participation is free, but advance reservations are required).
