The Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills will be hosting the "Children's Exhibition: The Bond Between Children and Artists as Seen in Masterpieces" from April 19th.

This exhibition is a re-arrangement of the works featured in the "Les enfants modeles" (Children Who Became Models) art exhibition held at the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris, which attracted approximately 200,000 visitors, organized by era and style, and reconstructed for Japan. With support from the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée de l'Orangerie, the exhibition brings together approximately 90 works depicting children by around 50 masters of modern Western painting, with approximately two-thirds being shown in Japan for the first time. The exhibition will feature works by Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, and others, including "Ako Playing the Trumpet," by Maurice Denis, depicting his son playing an instrument, "Claude in Polish Costume," by Pablo Picasso, depicting his son Claude, and "The Sick Child," by Eugene Carriere, depicting a sick child and its worried mother. For the Japan exhibition, a work by Japanese painter Leonard Foujita will also be specially added to the exhibit.
