Toraf's solo exhibition "Please staple this here" will be held in Ginza

Jan 13, 2014

TORAFU Architects, headed by Koichi Suzuno and Shinya Kamuro, will hold their solo exhibition "Please Staple This Here" at Creation Gallery G8 in Tokyo's Ginza district, starting on January 17th. A talk show featuring graphic designer Hideyuki Yamano is also scheduled for January 31st.

The exhibition showcases the work of the two, who began their careers in 2004 with the renovation of a dilapidated hotel room. Since then, they have worked on a variety of projects beyond the boundaries of architecture, including architectural design, shop interior design, exhibition space design, and product design. The exhibition also expresses their experimental and playful approach to communication design, which is based on an architectural perspective.

The title of this unique solo exhibition comes from a notice on a poster that folds and becomes a booklet. "We want to propose an experimental space that is created by trial and error, rather than a planned process based on sensitivity," commented Suzuno and Kamuro.
