LOEWE has announced that it will be showcasing a special collection in collaboration with JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇONS. While the Junya Watanabe 2013-2014 Autumn/Winter collection show at Paris Fashion Week in March featured bags and clothing in collaboration with LOEWE, the collection being unveiled this time is a separate, exclusive line. According to LOEWE, 2013 marks the 400th anniversary of Japan's Keicho Embassy to Europe, which is why the brand partnered with Junya Watanabe COMME des GARÇONS, a leading Japanese fashion brand. Creative Director Stuart Vevers will also be visiting Japan for the collection's unveiling.
This year, Loewe has also announced projects themed around friendship between Japan and Spain, such as a collaborative bag with mastermind JAPAN and a bag inspired by Japanese origami.
