
mastermind JAPAN (mmJ), the brand created by designer Masaaki Homma, will disband this summer. The final issue of "mastermind JAPAN FINAL COUNT DOWN MAGAZINE" (published by Matoi Publishing), which chronicles the brand's history leading up to its hiatus, will go on sale on the 24th. The magazine also features a message to Homma from Rei Kawakubo, CEO of Comme des Garçons, who collaborated with mmJ to celebrate the first anniversary of Dover Street Market Ginza in March. It also features fashion shoots of celebrities such as EXILE's HIRO and TAKAHIRO, Tomomi Itano, Kaho, and Kosuke Kitajima, as well as messages to Homma from Hidetoshi Nakata, Mika Ninagawa, and NIGO®, as well as conversations between Homma and Verbal, Yasumichi Morita, Kyoko Tanaka, and Satoshi Moriya.
Other features include a report on the 2013 Spring/Summer collection show held in March, as well as information on the brand's history. It also comes with a camouflage tote bag printed with the brand's iconic skull. Price: 1,680 yen.
