BACKES & STRAUSS, the world's oldest diamond maison, will open a salon on the first floor of Fukuoka Mitsukoshi on November 26th. To commemorate the opening of the salon, the only one in the Kyushu region and the first at Fukuoka Mitsukoshi, the maison will be exhibiting its exquisite timepieces, the "Regent Prince" and "Regent Princess," which maximize the brilliance of its top-quality diamonds. Don't miss this opportunity to experience these rare timepieces, each exclusive to Japan, and experience the brilliance of "Backes & Strauss," recognized worldwide and transcending borders and time. Founded in 1789 and based in London, Backes & Strauss is the world's oldest diamond maison. Its hallmark (a quality assurance stamp) is registered with Goldsmiths' Hall in London. A bracelet it produced was exhibited at the first Great Exhibition in 1851 and is still housed in the British Museum today. The brand's long history with diamonds has left a deep mark on history, and in 2006 it partnered with Franck Muller Watchland. Since then, it has created the highest quality diamond watches, featuring only the highest quality diamonds, based on the concept of "watches that showcase diamonds at their most beautiful." The brand has created numerous collections inspired by the British Royal Family, offering watches that pay homage to British history, architecture, and culture. To commemorate the opening of the Backes & Strauss Salon, two exquisite timepieces, each unique to Japan, will be on display. This is a rare opportunity to see the "ultimate diamond watch" created by Masters of Diamonds (Backs & Strauss), who have a deep understanding of diamonds based on their long history and rich experience.

Regent Prince
The Regent collection was born from inspiration in the vast swath of parkland that stretches across London. This model features 20.93 carats of baguette-cut diamonds seamlessly set within a watch with large curves and bold symmetry. Cut and set by three skilled master craftsmen, this timepiece demonstrates Backes & Strauss' deep knowledge and experience of diamonds, as well as the skills to maximize their brilliance.
Automatic movement, 18K White Gold x Diamond case, 20.93 carats, alligator strap, 66,550,000 yen (tax included)

Regent Princess
The oval-shaped case and intricately engraved bracelet are set with Backes & Strauss's exclusive "Ideal Cut" diamonds totaling 22.12 carats. According to the Gemological Institute of Great Britain (GIA), less than 3% of diamonds achieve the perfect sparkle with an "ideal cut." The standards for its proportions are extremely strict, and the diamonds are carefully cut and polished over 10 times longer than usual to achieve the ideal sparkle.
