French luxury down brand Moncler has announced a collaboration with White Mountaineering, the men's brand created by designer Yosuke Aizawa. The brand will launch "Moncler W" as a capsule collection for its main line. The debut collection will be unveiled on May 24th and will be available in Moncler stores and select shops worldwide from August. Moncler has been collaborating with young designers since 2009, launching the men's "Moncler V" collection by Hiroki Nakamura of VISVIM for two seasons from Autumn/Winter 2010-2011, and the women's "Moncler S" collection by Chitose Abe of sacai for six seasons from Spring/Summer 2010. London-based Christopher Raeburn launched "Moncler R" in Autumn/Winter 2012-2013.
Other luxury lines include "Gamme Rouge" for women by Giambattista Valli and "Gamme Bleu" for men by Thom Browne.
White Mountaineering launched in the 2006 Autumn/Winter season, presenting men's wear that views the "outdoors" as a lifestyle field. In January of this year, they were invited to Pitti Immagine Uomo (hereinafter referred to as Pitti), the world's largest men's ready-to-wear trade fair, held in Florence, Italy, where they successfully held their first overseas show, garnering attention and becoming the talk of fashionistas as Moncler's next collaboration partner.
