This is the second collaboration between German eyewear brand MYKITA and luxury down brand Moncler. This modern take on alpine snow goggles, popular in the 1950s, features a boldly cut double bridge and slim temples. The frame is made of Mylon, a high-tech material developed by MYKITA, providing an exceptional fit while also providing the functionality to work as alpine goggles on snowy mountains. The lenses are made of mineral lenses from the venerable Italian manufacturer Barberini. A unique feature is that the "MYKITA & Moncler" logo appears when you blow on the durable, clear lenses. The glasses come with a quilted case reminiscent of Moncler's down jackets. The "LIONEL" model name commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Moncler brand's founding, and is named after Lionel Terray, the first alpinist to summit a mountain wearing Moncler gear. It skillfully expresses the concept of 'a fusion of modern design and technological innovation.'
It is unisex and comes in three colors: khaki/metal brown, brown/metal gold, and black/metal gold or metal silver. The price is 57,750 yen. It is available at Mykita shops worldwide, Moncler stores, and the official Moncler online store.
