Spotify has launched "EDUCAST Necchu Daigaku," an original educational lecture-style podcast program where creators and influencers from Gen Z, who have mastered their fields and are active at the forefront of their fields, learn about techniques, know-how, and unique life philosophies.
Podcast "EDUCAST Necchu Daigaku"
"EDUCAST Necchu Daigaku" is a lecture-style video podcast in which new stars of the Reiwa era, pioneering a new era, passionately discuss the power of their passions, their origins, and what lies ahead. This program explores the "new professions" that are emerging one after another in the 21st century. Each episode features a star in their teens or twenties who is thriving as a professional in their new profession while also flexibly carving out their own future. Aimed at young people worried about their future, each episode offers a passionate, one-of-a-kind lecture on the power to survive in a new era, how to find your place, how to turn your passion into a career, and advice for adults who sometimes struggle to keep up.
Neo (Model and Video Creator)
"EDUCAST Necchu University" is the first original program in Japan to be offered in the form of a "video podcast." Video podcasts, with their visual content, bring creators closer to them. Listeners can freely switch between viewing the video in the foreground or in the background, depending on their purpose and listening environment. The program is produced by the same team that produces popular Nippon Television programs, leveraging their video production skills in the educational entertainment field and Spotify's audio content expertise.
Yosozumi Sakura (Professional Skateboarder, Tokyo Olympic Skateboarding Gold Medalist)
This program utilizes Anchor, Spotify's audio content production tool. Using Anchor's Q&A and voting features, listeners are invited to submit their most memorable words from each episode. The personalities will include new stars of the Reiwa era who will lead the next generation, such as Neo, a model and video creator with over 5.3 million followers, Sakura Yosozumi, a gold medalist in skateboarding at the Tokyo Olympics, and Ryuji Sato, an actor who is active in a wide range of fields, including 2.5-dimensional stage productions.
