■ The Mode in France exhibition will be held in January. Organized by the French Ready-to-Wear Federation, this will be the first time that men's fashion will be exhibited.
This will be the first time that an online media outlet has been invited to the exhibition presentation. As with the Tokyo Cosmetic Collection, we are in the midst of change.
■ Condé Nast Japan was established on January 1, 2013, merging three companies, including Vogue and GQ.
Expectations are high for a new fashion media platform that links magazines and the web.
■ [Condolences] Itokin founder Kingo Tsujimura passes away.
He passed away at the age of 93. His active introduction of international brands, including André Courrèges, which is currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity, and his licensing business, made him a pioneer in the promotion of Japanese fashion. His collection of Rococo antique fans was renowned in the fashion industry. On the 12th, Keiichi Ishimoto, former chairman of Descente, who was also active in the sports apparel industry and worked on designer brands, passed away. We pray for his soul to rest in peace.
■The heads of Mitsukoshi Isetan, UA, and Zozo held a symposium at BFGU.
This was a three-way conversation that attracted attention in the apparel industry this year. While the event was aimed at students, it attracted attention from the entire industry.
■Itochu Corporation launches new "Bear USA" brand. Also available: a replica of the "Mythical Down Jacket."
■Itochu Corporation acquires the trademark for the "Penfield" brand in Asia.
