Mackenyu Arata and Ayaka Miyoshi visit Tiffany's Ginza flagship store, decorated with holiday decorations

Nov 15, 2021

In conjunction with Tiffany's 2021 Holiday Campaign, which began on November 6th, the Ginza flagship store has been decorated with artistic and dreamy decorations that express the fantastical world view of Tiffany's legendary designer, Jean Schlumberger. To celebrate this special campaign, Mackenyu Arata and Ayaka Miyoshi visited the store.

The two, dressed in a dazzling array of Tiffany's iconic jewelry (worth a total of approximately 500 million yen), immersed themselves in the dreamlike world of the Ginza flagship store.

Shining on Mackenyu Arata's chest is Jean Schlumberger's signature "Bird on a Rock" brooch, which is also symbolically displayed on the facade of the Ginza flagship store. It features a gorgeous design that draws the eye with a rare 49.82 carat rubellite that strikes a striking vivid color.

"Bird on a Rock" is an attractive piece that features a charming bird resting its wings, set with pavé diamonds among a number of Tiffany's famous gemstones. This brooch, born from the fusion of Schlumberger's imagination to capture the natural world as it is and the exquisite craftsmanship of outstanding artisans, has continued to be loved around the world for generations.

The "Tiffany(R) Setting," invented in 1886 by Tiffany & Co. founder Charles Lewis Tiffany, is a setting that separates the diamond from the shank and supports it with prongs, allowing light to enter from all directions and maximizing the diamond's brilliance. It became one of the most significant innovations in the jewelry industry, where the idea of lifting a stone from the shank had never been considered before. This innovative "Tiffany(R) Setting" has become a symbol of Tiffany's continued reign as the "Diamond Authority."
