Yohji Yamamoto's Closet. A limited-time event is being held at Shinjuku Isetan

Oct 11, 2013

A pop-up event for Yohji Yamamoto has been running since October 9th at The Stage #4 on the 4th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. It will run until the 15th. The event, titled "Yohji Yamamoto Closet," showcases everyday staples like blousons and jackets, along with limited-edition items, presented through the brand's lens. While Yohji Yamamoto is known for its wool gabardine pieces, this season the brand is also offering a number of pieces crafted from classic fall/winter materials like tweed, flannel, and leather. The women's line, "Yohji Yamamoto +Noir," features floral motifs in warm tones made from wool flannel. Dresses and skirts feature different patterns printed on the outer and inner linings, with the print on the lining visible from the hem. This item will be available for pre-sale at the store.

The brand moved to the 4th floor of Isetan Shinjuku in October last year when the store's floors were remodeled. This month marks its first anniversary. Starting next week on the 16th, Y's will be holding an event in the same space as part of Isetan Mitsukoshi's "JAPAN SENSES" initiative. Items featuring "discharge dyeing" are scheduled to be on sale.
