Tiffany & Co. is launching an advent calendar themed on a homage to the rebellious creativity and spirit of New York, the brand's birthplace. This special product connects America's iconic jeweler with Jean-Michel Basquiat, renowned as one of the most influential American artists of the 20th century. Jean-Michel Basquiat's work, "Equals Pi," also appears in the brand's latest campaign, "ABOUT LOVE." This special advent calendar, which depicts the traditional holiday countdown through Jean-Michel Basquiat's 1982 masterpiece, will be available in select stores worldwide and in Japan at the Ginza flagship store from November 6th.

This captivating advent calendar features 24 blue boxes each day, each containing a Tiffany jewelry or home & accessories creation.

Inspired by the visual cues and subtext of Basquiat's style, the product features design elements that pay homage to the artist's many works. During his early years, Basquiat painted on everyday objects like windows, doors, and refrigerators, reconstructing objects from materials like cardboard and plywood. This advent calendar pays tribute to the artist's creative endeavors, using such unconventional tools. The calendar's 122cm white oak door is the perfect canvas for "Equal Pi." Composed of mathematical equations, text, shapes, expressive gestures, and symbols, the work epitomizes the artist's raw yet methodical approach to the art he created.

For over a century, Tiffany & Co. has been at the heart of connecting the art world with New York City culture, including through the window design of its flagship store in New York. As part of this, Tiffany & Co. has formed a new partnership with Free Arts NYC, donating $250,000 to Free Arts NYC's programs to foster the artistic talents of underprivileged children in New York City.

Tiffany will continue to support bringing art to underserved communities through these important partnerships, including scholarship support for students at select Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in its latest brand campaign, "ABOUT LOVE."
