Bergdorf Goodman, a long-established department store on New York's Fifth Avenue, is the subject of a documentary film titled "The Magical New York Department Store" (distributed by Shogakukan) that unravels its 112-year history. Directed by Matthew Miele, known for his documentaries, the film explores how the store, which has been described as "the world's best department store," "its existence itself as modern art," and "an icon of the fashion industry," has continued to innovate and remain at the forefront of the global fashion world. From glamorous parties to artistic window displays, and the lives of buyers and customers, the film also delves into the American history that the store has witnessed over the 112 years since its founding. The film also offers a first glimpse into the interior of the store after its closure. This film vividly captures the professionals who work at the department store, from fashion director Linda Fargo, who supports the careers of emerging designers, to window display manager David Hoey, to personal shopper Betty Hallbreich, who offers unconventional styles to fashionistas around the world.

In addition, fashion designers such as Giorgio Armani, Manolo Blahnik, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, and the Olsen twins, as well as numerous other celebrities, appear and discuss the appeal of Bergdorf Goodman.

The film will be released sequentially at Bunkamura Le Cinema and other theaters nationwide.
