Agnes b.'s first directorial film, a road movie set in Bordeaux, will be screened at Tokyo Filmex.

agnès b.'s directorial debut, "Je m'appelle Hmmm..." (My Name Is...), will be screened at the 14th Tokyo FILMeX from November 23rd to December 1st.

This is agnès b.'s first feature-length film. Set in the Bordeaux region of France, this road movie follows a 12-year-old girl (Lou-Lelia Demerliac) who runs away from her sexually abusive father and meets a long-distance truck driver (Douglas Gordon), who sets her on a journey.

The film also stars a supporting cast of renowned French film actors, including Sylvie Testud and Jacques Bonnaffe. agnès b. commented, "This film is the story of an escape and its aftermath. By making a film that challenges prejudice, I wanted to convey that rushing to judgment can lead to mistakes. I also portrayed the quiet, pure love that exists between these two characters." The film was entered in the Horizonti section of the 70th Venice International Film Festival and will be screened as a "Special Screening" at Tokyo FILMeX. Screening dates and times will be announced on the Tokyo FILMeX official website. agnès b. has sponsored Tokyo FILMeX since 2004, providing specially designed T-shirts and original bags. A known film buff, she founded her own film production company, Love Streams Productions, in 1997. She has been involved in the film industry in many ways, including designing costumes for films and supporting films at film festivals and theatrical releases.
