Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings will launch a crowdfunding campaign called "TOKYO DESIGN COMMIT" on the 28th in collaboration with Soen, a magazine published by Bunka Publishing Bureau.

This project is a collaboration between Isetan Shinjuku, which has been actively developing the next generation of designers in the Japanese fashion scene through programs such as "TOKYO Kaihoku," and Soen, the magazine that runs the Soen Award, a fashion contest considered a stepping stone for new designers in Japan. It will combine in-store and print content to create a new online support initiative.

Specifically, a dedicated website will be set up on GREEN FUNDING, a mall-style crowdfunding site operated by One More, to introduce projects by designers and creators jointly selected by Isetan and Soen, and invite investors who share their passion for the projects. If the investment goal is reached, investors will receive special rewards (return items such as products and services) according to the amount invested.

There are two initial support projects launching on the 28th. The first project is "Let's make a real hero costume!" by Yukihiro Teshima, designer of "Yuki Hero Pro Wrestling." He works with children in Tohoku to create everything from textiles to costume design, with the hope that "real pro wrestlers will wear them in the ring and children will be able to see their heroic figure."

The other is "Archero-kan," a fan event for the women's brand "Archero," founded by two designers, Goto Aya and Yawata Natsuki, who graduated from Bunka Fashion College. The project allows visitors to not only see and try on the collection, but also to experience the world of the clothing.

The second part, scheduled to begin on November 28th, will introduce a project by new creator Ari Yanagi, recommended by designer Yoshikazu Yamagata.
