On the 19th, the "Puella Magi Madoka Magica Original Artwork Reproductions" exhibition opened at the Roppongi Hills Observatory, Tokyo City View. It runs until November 4th.
The venue is divided into eight zones, including various exhibits, a cafe, and a merchandise corner. The exhibition features over 800 line drawings and storyboards, primarily from the first and second films. Upon entering, a gate featuring the face of the Candy Witch awaits. Passing through the gate leads to a corner featuring reproductions of the original artwork from the witch's space. The walls are decorated with the witch's space.
The reproductions of the original artwork for the characters are displayed in combination with Mami Tomoe and Kyubey, Homura Akemi and Madoka Kaname, and Kyoko Sakura and Sayaka Miki. The reproductions are lined up against a black background, and each character's drawing is included.
In the Homura and Madoka corner, a life-size figure of "Ultimate Madoka," a new concept for the world, is on display. Standing over two meters tall, it exudes a divine presence.
The cafe corner offers a collaboration menu. Food items include "Madoka Tart and Kyubey Anman" (980 yen), "Sweets Witch Curry" (980 yen), and "Mami's Tea Party Cake" (780 yen). Drinks include collaboration cocktails with special coasters featuring Mami Tomoe and Kyubey, Homura Madoka, Homura, Sayaka, Mami, Kyoko, and Kyubey. Around noon on the opening day, a line of approximately 100 people formed, proving the store's success. Some brave souls ordered the entire food and drink menu.
Also, life-size figures of the five magical girls are displayed on the central stage. Homura is depicted wearing glasses when she was still timid. Visuals from the films from countries around the world, including Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, and Mexico, are displayed on the walls. Each one features a background featuring a country's iconic icon, such as the Merlion or the Eiffel Tower.
The merchandise corner is located at the entrance. It will have clear files, eco-bags, T-shirts, mineral water, and other items commemorating the exhibition, as well as related books and items. A special shopping bag will be distributed to purchases of 3,000 yen or more.
