United Arrows launches online store delivery service

Apr 1, 2014

UNITED ARROWS began a trial run of a service on March 31st at five UNITED ARROWS green label relaxing (GLR) stores, allowing customers to schedule in-store product delivery and try-on appointments via their official online store. GLR products available on the online store can be ordered from participating stores and tried on in person. Up to five items can be ordered, even if they are not normally available at participating stores, as long as they are available on the online store and in stock at the logistics center. Reservations can be made from the fourth day onward in the Kanto region and the sixth day onward in other areas. Items will be held at the designated store for one week from that day. By visiting the store, customers can enjoy the store's interior, product introductions from store staff, and styling suggestions. The participating stores include Shibuya Mark City, Lumine Shinjuku, Yurakucho, Futako Tamagawa Rise, and the GLR shop at LaLaport.

This initiative is part of one of United Arrows' management policies, "Challenging to become a leading O2O company." The company is actively promoting the linkage between e-commerce and stores, such as displaying store inventory and product search functions on the online store, and linking the company's house card and point card. Last year, the company also began a store-to-e-commerce initiative, distributing "product memo cards" with product number information to customers in stores to guide them through purchasing from the online store. In January of this year, the company released an online store smartphone app that allows customers to easily view the latest product information and staff styling.
