Peaches Geldof's death hits front page of UK newspapers

Apr 9, 2014

News of Peaches Geldof's death at her home in Kent on the 7th appeared on the front page of major British newspapers on the 8th.

The only two major newspapers that did not report the news on their front pages were The Independent and the Financial Times. Many of their reports featured a photo that Geldof tweeted the day before his death. The photo shows Geldof's mother, Paula Yates, standing next to Geldof as a toddler. Since Yates died in 2000 at the age of 41, some newspapers captioned it "a photo that predicted tragedy." Geldof's cause of death has not yet been determined, and local police have announced that an autopsy will be conducted on the 9th.

Peaches Geldof was born in 1989, the second daughter of musician Bob Geldof and television personality Paula Yates. Her full name was Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof. She began writing a column for the British edition of Elle magazine at the age of 15, and began working as a television personality at the age of 16. In 2008, she married musician Max Drummey, but they divorced after six months. In 2012, she remarried musician Tom Cohen, with whom she has two sons.
