
Actor Mizushima Hiro was born on April 13, 1984, in Tokyo. He is married to singer-songwriter Ayaka. Due to his father's work, he spent his childhood and elementary school graduation in Switzerland. He returned to Japan to start junior high school and joined the soccer club throughout his high school years. In his third year of high school, he participated in the 81st All Japan High School Soccer Championship, advancing to the top four. After graduating from high school, he entered Keio University. While still a student, he began working as a model in 2004. He made his acting debut in 2005 and rose to fame the following year with his role as the lead in "Kamen Rider Kabuto." He subsequently appeared in a series of popular dramas and films, including "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e: Ikemen Paradise," "Mei-chan no Shitsuji," and "Beck," gaining recognition beyond just tokusatsu fans. In 2010, he left his agency, Ken-On. In the same year, his debut novel, KAGEROU, written under his real name, Saito Tomohiro, won the 5th Poplar Publishing Novel Award. He also served as editor-in-chief of GLOBAL WORK, the first lifestyle magazine produced by apparel company Point, from March 2011 to February 2012. He returned to acting in the film Black Butler, which was released in January of this year, in which he starred and served as co-producer.
