
Actress and model Kaoru Mitsumune was born on April 26, 1993, in Osaka Prefecture. She is a former member of the female idol group AKB48. While in high school, she worked part-time at the maid cafe "Maid Ruche" in Nihonbashi. In March 2011, she won the grand prize at the Kobe Collection Model Audition and joined AKB48 as a 13th generation trainee in December of the same year. She made her first drama appearance in "ATARU," which began airing in April 2012. However, in October of the same year, she announced her departure from AKB48 due to poor health. Although her first leading role in the film "Joshi Camera" (2012) was released, she remained out of the spotlight for some time. In May 2013, she appeared as a model for URBAN RESEARCH's online store, showing her healthy appearance.
