Apr 13, 2014

On April 12, H&M announced its next designer collaboration with Alexander Wang at the Coachella Music Festival in Palm Springs, USA. This marks the brand's first collaboration with an American designer. The collaborative collection, "ALEXANDER WANG x H&M collection," will consist of women's and men's wear and accessories and is scheduled to be available in approximately 250 H&M stores worldwide and online from November 6. H&M's designer collaborations began in 2004. Collaborative collections with Karl Lagerfeld, COMME des GARÇONS, Maison Martin Margiela, and Isabel Marant have proven so popular that they have sold out immediately after release. Alexander Wang was born and raised in San Francisco and started his own brand in the 2007 Spring/Summer season. He opened a flagship store in Aoyama, Tokyo in October 2013. He has also served as creative director of Balenciaga since the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter season.
