The first large-scale solo exhibition in Japan by artist Manabu Ikeda, who paints magnificent worlds with an ultra-fine pen tip, will be held at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, until July 9th.
Ikeda, who can only paint an area the size of a fist per day, is an international artist who has won worldwide acclaim for his meticulous depictions and spectacular compositions, creating otherworldly scenes that seem to surpass reality.
This first-ever exhibition in Japan will feature approximately 120 works, covering almost the entirety of Ikeda's artistic career, from his earliest works to his latest masterpiece, "Birth," which took approximately three years to complete.
