Refreshing Marc Jacobs eye makeup with blue lines

Apr 24, 2014

This series introduces spring/summer makeup tips from the SS14 runway. The fourth installment features a summer look from New York's MARC JACOBS that emphasizes the eyes.

Using deal or royal blue eyeliner, draw long lines on both the inner and outer corners of the eyes. Slightly flicking the outer corners of the eyes to frame and define the contours creates a refreshing, cool impression. Using blue also has the effect of making the whites of the eyes look beautiful. The impression changes depending on the length of the line and the angle at which it is flicked, so it can be tailored to suit any style.

To create a translucent look that matches the eyes, a highly moisturizing skin-toned primer, concealer, and face powder were used to finish.

The lead artist is François Nars, founder and creative director of NARS. The products used include Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, Radiant Creamy Concealer, Light Lifting Setting Powder, Eyeliner Pencil, Single Eyeshadow, and Larger Than Life Length Mascara/Volumizing Mascara (all Nars).
