Christian Louboutin will open a pop-up store at the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, first floor, Handbags/Promotions section, from May 3rd to 14th. The pop-up will feature the brand's latest work of art, the "MEXICABA," a tote bag. The bag was created in collaboration with Taller Maya, an organization dedicated to preserving the unique artisanal techniques of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The organization provides opportunities for indigenous people to become self-sufficient, and the jobs generated through these activities help preserve their culture through artisanal skills. 10% of profits from sales of the MEXICABA will be donated to the foundation. The pop-up will also feature the global premiere of the "CABATA SMALL," a smaller, more charming version of the popular "CABATA" tote bag, released last season and popular for its practical design.
