Seiko Watch Corporation will release a Grand Seiko model equipped with a Spring Drive (※1) movement on November 6th, with a design theme inspired by "shizuriyuki," a fantastical winter scene seen in Shinshu. The suggested retail price is 4.18 million yen (tax included), and the model is limited to 60 pieces worldwide.

Shinshu Toki no Takumi Kobo, the studio that produces Grand Seiko Spring Drive models, is located in Shiojiri, Nagano Prefecture, a city rich in nature, blessed with clear air and pure water, overlooking the distant Jonen and Hotaka mountain ranges.

This model captures the serene winter scenery of Shinshu and the ephemeral beauty of "hanging snow." The soft texture of fresh snow is expressed in the embossed dial, while the delicate sparkle of snow falling from the tree branches is accentuated by diamonds on the side of the case. The mystical scenery of winter in Shinshu is a delight to the eyes.


The 18K pink gold case is meticulously set with 53 diamonds by skilled artisans at Shinshu Toki no Takumi Kobo. The diamonds are arranged so that they gradually become smaller from the center of the case to the tips of the lugs, and the diamond tops are aligned to create a flowing brilliance.

The antique-style crocodile strap features a brown base with black recesses and is hand-stitched by artisans.


This watch is equipped with the caliber "9R31," a Spring Drive movement made by Shinshu Toki no Takumi Kobo, which has a dual spring barrel mechanism with two power springs in a single barrel, providing a power reserve of 72 hours.




This special edition comes with a satin-style strap that can be changed to further enhance the world of "Taruyuki."
