The third collaboration between PUMA and the spoken words project, the "PUMA BASKET FOR SWP" sneaker (25,000 yen), will go on sale from April 28th in a limited run of 450 pairs.

This time, with the theme of "ewohaku (wearing pictures)," the material used for the upper has been changed from suede to smooth leather, creating a new worldview that differs from previous prints on suede.


This sneaker, which is the first to feature the PUMA Basket as its base model, features a graphic printed on the upper based on the novel "Woman in the Dunes," which is linked to the spoken words project's Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The noise created by printing on the smooth leather recreates the rough texture of "Woman in the Dunes."

The theme is "ewohaku," and as the word suggests, no two pairs are the same. Each piece of smooth leather is printed by hand in a studio in Kameido, Tokyo, and then cut in a factory. The parts are then randomly combined to create a unique look for each pair, resulting in a one-of-a-kind PUMA Basket.

The sneakers will be available at limited Puma stores and Puma stores.
