May 21, 2017

"Yebisu Garden Picnic" will be held at Ebisu Garden Place in Ebisu, Tokyo, from July 15th to September 3rd.
The event, themed "Summer Vacation for Adults in the City," will feature a "Picnic Cinema" where you can enjoy outdoor movie nights with family and friends while feeling the cool night breeze. Kino Igloo, a Tokyo-based mobile cinema that screens films in various spaces such as cafes, general stores, bookstores, and art museums, will be screening a total of 12 films based on the concept "In every life, there is a day happier than any other," free of charge from 7:30 PM each day from August 3rd to 5th, 10th to 15th, and 17th to 19th.
The lineup of films includes "Iris Apfel!", a documentary film that explores the secrets of success and charm of the multi-faceted Iris Apfel. A total of 12 films will be screened, including "The 94-Year-Old New Yorker," director John Carney's semi-autobiographical "Sing Street," and "Cinema Paradiso," in which three actors portray the life of Salvatore, who became fascinated with film, from his childhood to middle age.

During the period, various events will be held, mainly in the Center Plaza, to help you enjoy the summer, including yoga experience events and the Hawaiian festival "ALOHA TOKYO 2017" (July 21st to 23rd).
