Paris Street-originated mozzarella cheese sandwich shop opens second Japanese branch in Aoyama

May 22, 2017

Mmmozza, a mozzarella sandwich shop originating from the streets of Paris, will open its second Japanese store in Aoyama (Oval Building 1F, 5-52-2 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on May 26th. Mmmozza is known for its milky buffalo mozzarella cheese (bufala) and generous portions. The first Japanese store, the Harajuku store, has been attracting attention as street food from Paris, the city of gourmet food. The Aoyama store, which has an attached eat-in space, offers signature buffalo mozzarella cheese sandwiches, "Laura" (full: ¥1,480 / half: ¥880) and "Yaya" (full: ¥1,280 / half: ¥780), as well as the store-exclusive "Trecheese Shake" (¥680), a rich three-cheese sandwich, and the "Golce" (full: ¥1,080 / half: ¥720), a gorgonzola and arugula sandwich. The store also offers an "Apero" pre-dinner menu featuring light snacks and alcoholic beverages, including plate dishes such as the "Charcuterie Platter" (¥1,200) and "Homemade Tuna and Caprese" (¥1,580), as well as beer (starting from ¥680) and organic wine. The buffalo mozzarella cheese used in the sandwiches will also be available for pre-sale at the Aoyama store. Although it is an "epicerie" (food store), it will also be a sandwich shop where you can drop in casually.
