Hender Scheme, designed by Ryo Kashiwazaki, has unveiled its 2017-18 Fall/Winter collection, "CONTEMPORARY." The collection will be available at the brand's flagship store, "Sukima" (http://online.henderscheme.com/), and at participating retailers nationwide, from early June. The collection features a wide range of shoes crafted from carefully selected, high-quality materials, including leatherwear, bags, stationery, and interior accessories like wall clocks. The "manual industrial products" homage line, which releases one model each season, also includes a slip-on (46,000 yen). The upper features cowhide leather that has been buffed before being finished. The mudguard that encases the sole features a combination of cowhide leathers with different finishes, and the rubber on the instep features a double-width tape folded in the middle to prevent stretching. The nuanced natural color and soft leather are sure to elevate any outfit. Other shoes being offered for the fall/winter season include the "clasp mule" (44,000 yen), a mule with a large buckle and rabbit fur upper, and the "cheak hair" (41,000 yen), a mule made from cowhide ponytail in the classic "cheak" style, which can be easily coordinated with socks.
The clothing line, which was first announced last season, introduces a new black color for the rider's jacket (210,000 yen). Taking advantage of the characteristics of tanned leather, which has different textures and color tones depending on the tanning method, raw materials, and processing method, four types of leather, including horse, deer, and cow, are used in the appropriate places. Each piece has its own unique shading and three-dimensionality, making it an exquisite piece. Furthermore, there is a wide range of items available that you can enjoy keeping close by and seeing them change over time, such as the wall clock "clock" (15,000 yen), the multi-functional backpack "functional back pack" (34,000 yen), the pen case "fudebacco" (14,000 yen) that develops a richer texture with use, and the card case "tiny envelope card case" (12,000 yen).
Hender Scheme was launched in the Fall/Winter 2010-11 season. Based in an atelier in Asakusa, Tokyo, the brand offers unisex products, mainly shoes and leather goods, with the concept of designing freely beyond gender. The entire collection can be seen on the Hender Scheme official website (http://www.henderscheme.com).
