Byredo's new fragrance is a powder-type fragrance inspired by Kabuki.

May 25, 2017

BYREDO is launching a kabuki-inspired fragrance called "Kabuki" (fragrance powder 8g/7,600 yen). Kabuki is a traditional Japanese art known for its rigorously structured theatrical performances and unique makeup technique known as kumadori. Inspired by this traditional Japanese art, BYREDO founder and creative director Ben Gorham has devised a new olfactory experience. The fragrance, which is gently applied to the skin with a powder-covered brush, comes in three flavors: "Blanche," "Bal d'Afrique," and "Gypsy Water." It can be used on its own on any part of the body, or combined with traditional perfumes. The included brush is stored in the bottle lid, and the powder is housed in a glossy bottle bearing only the fragrance name in white lettering.

The product will be sold by Byredo distributors and the online store (https://byredo.com).
