The Ginza 4-Chome flagship store (4-5-5 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), Japan's renowned jewelry brand, will hold its grand opening on June 1st.
Boasting one of the world's largest sales floor areas, the store is based on the concept of "nature," the source of the brand's origins, the beautiful pearls. The exterior, designed by internationally renowned architect Hiroshi Naito, features a distinctive façade design made with approximately 40,000 glass beads. The store, serving as a new Ginza landmark, will offer a diverse lineup of high-end jewelry, premium everyday jewelry, and bridal jewelry, including the new "Praise to Nature" collection released to commemorate the grand opening.
The first floor offers a selection of creative jewelry, including the latest collections and pendants, rings, and earrings.
The second floor features sophisticated jewelry featuring pearls, diamonds, and colored stones, and the third floor features a newly opened service desk. Experienced staff with expert thread replacement techniques and certified gemologists are always on hand to provide repairs and consultations.
The fourth floor offers a wide selection of the brand's iconic pearl necklaces, beloved by women of all ages and around the world, from simple chokers and long necklaces to designs that can be easily arranged.
The fifth floor is home to Salon de Mikimoto, offering a selection of high-end jewelry. The floor's ceiling and floor feature the brand's archival jewelry, the "Yaguruma" (arrow wheel) obidome, creating a stately atmosphere. The wall décor features original Nishijin-ori textiles inspired by the foam and waves of the sea that nurture beautiful pearls, creating a sophisticated and luxurious atmosphere.
The sixth floor is the bridal salon, where clover motifs, a symbol of good fortune, are incorporated throughout the floor. This space allows customers to leisurely choose bridal jewelry, including engagement rings that maximize the brilliance of diamonds and wedding rings with a wide variety of designs.
The "Mikimoto Hall" is located on the 7th floor, the top floor of the sales floor, and is an event space where new jewelry exhibitions and special exhibitions introducing domestic and international culture and art are held.
A press preview was held on May 30th ahead of the store's grand opening. A stellar lineup of guests, including models and talents Mori Izumi and Ebihara Yuri, actress and talent Tamaru Maki, and models Kunikida Sara and Takizawa Makiko, appeared wearing Mikimoto jewelry.
