Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, DELAWARE's digital paintings and sculptures are on display in the Designers East and West sections on the third floor of Isetan Shinjuku.
DELAWARE is active in a wide range of fields, including music albums and exhibitions, videos, bitmap graphics, writing, web, mobile phones, cross-stitch, live shows, TV commercials, and fashion. The current members are Masato Samata, Hiroshi Okamura, Ken Okumura, and Takashi Yamaguchi.
The works on display at Isetan Shinjuku this time are "Four Frames," a digital painting that adds a modern twist to classic works, and "Ballerina," a digital sculpture. "Four Frames," exhibited in the West section, is a modern interpretation of classic works such as the Mona Lisa and Girl with a Pearl Earring. Meanwhile, "Ballerina," exhibited in the East section, is a moving digital sculpture created by adapting a static bronze sculpture.
