Givenchy is collaborating with Isetan Shinjuku for the first time to celebrate the release of its limited-edition capsule collection, "GIVENCHY ESSENTIALS," which reflects creative director Riccardo Tisci's passion for Japan. The capsule collection, for both men and women, reinterprets the house's signature pieces, adding an urban twist and a formal touch. The brand's new iconic bag, "HORIZON," also comes in two new sizes: nano and mini. To coincide with the collection's release, a pop-up shop will be open at The Stage on the first floor of the main building and at the promotional section on the first floor of the men's building until September 13th, where the collection will be available for pre-sale worldwide. Additionally, starting September 7th, Givenchy will take over 15 windows at the main building of Isetan Shinjuku for three weeks. During the three-week period, eight of the windows will feature dresses from the Spring/Summer 2011 haute couture collection, designed with a Japanese theme. These displays also incorporate cutting-edge technology, with Givenchy's iconic deer appearing on the OLED screens in four windows like trick art.

Visitors to the Isetan Shinjuku store can also use the Galaxy Gear VR, a virtual reality head-mounted display created in collaboration with mobile brand Galaxy, to experience 360-degree VR content of Givenchy's haute couture salon in Paris. Customers who purchase items will also receive a pair of smartphone-compatible virtual reality glasses as a gift. A cocktail party was held on the first day of the pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku, and guests included models Akimoto Kozue, MAAYA, Taiki, Noa, Natsuki Mari, Saito and his wife Nobu, and Hong Kong singer Pakho.
