Dolce & Gabbana's new flagship store, "Dolce & Gabbana Aoyama," celebrates its grand opening. The boutique was designed by the world-renowned design studio Curiosity, led by Gwenael Nicolas, and inspired by the contrast between the dazzling sunlight of Sicily, the birthplace of designer Domenico Dolce, and the shadows it casts.
400 projectors running continuously on the ceiling create a dramatic atmosphere. The exterior walls, windows, and display cases for accessories are crafted from Italian Arabescato marble, while the brand panel at the entrance is crafted from rich Black Carnico marble. The floor is paved with black ceramic tiles, highlighting the jet-black space, while the gold staircase at the center of the store sparkles like a candle.
The boutique spans two floors. The first floor offers men's and women's ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, and leather goods. The second floor carries men's formal wear, women's evening wear, and fine jewelry.

To commemorate the opening of the boutique, exclusive items that can only be purchased here in Aoyama have been released. The women's line-up includes the iconic "Sicily" bag, which features a large peony in full bloom and was featured in the 2016-17 Autumn/Winter collection, the "Dolce Box," wallets, card cases, phone bags, and iPhone cases. Additionally, a limited edition version of the "DG Straps," the shoulder strap that was released in June and quickly captivated fans, is now available with a special "#DGLOVESAOYAMA" engraved on it.
