Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang launches limited edition trash bag truck in Tokyo

adidas Originals by Alexander Wang will be releasing limited-edition items from its latest collection at a pop-up truck in Tokyo on September 17th.
The new collection, unveiled at Alexander Wang's SS17 show, features 84 pieces created from the idea of "disrupting the boundaries between fashion and streetwear" and overturning commonly accepted rules. The pieces feature the new adidas by Stella McCartney symbol, a reversal of the adidas Originals icon, the Trefoil, and the word "Originals."
The pop-up truck will be releasing the first 10 pieces from the collection, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies with graphic appliqués, as well as sportswear with the brand's double-brand monogram printed and three stripes deliberately featured on the lining. The "AW SKATE" footwear collection features an inverted Trefoil and herringbone foxing tape sole, as well as an Italian suede upper with a single overlay. Items are displayed on the road next to the truck, and purchased items are handed over in a "garbage bag" printed with the Alexander Wang logo and an inverted trafoil, creating a unique sales method. The pop-up truck was the brainchild of Frenando Verderi, Creative Director of Johannes Leonardo, who also developed the creative concept for the collaboration. Selling items from a truck rejects traditional sales methods and expresses the brand's concept of "disrupting the boundaries between fashion and streetwear" and "subverting commonly accepted rules." The truck debuted in New York the day after Alexander Wang's SS17 collection show, and will be available exclusively in three cities, Tokyo and London, from September 17th.
