From September 30th to October 7th, Maruyama Coffee, located inside Harunire Terrace in the Hoshino area of Karuizawa, will be hosting a pop-up event by Kakimori in Kuramae, Tokyo, called "Coffee and Writing." The event will feature custom-made notebooks by Kakimori and five fountain pen inks (starting at ¥1,620) inspired by the Karuizawa scenery encountered at Harunire Terrace. Customers can choose from approximately 30 cover designs, 15 types of paper, and even rings and clasps to create a unique, handcrafted notebook (starting at ¥1,260). Also available is letter paper that allows ink to slowly soak into the paper. Customers who purchase letter paper at Maruyama Coffee will also receive complimentary pen and ink rentals, allowing them to write letters at their desks. A variety of writing instruments, including fountain pens, rollerballs, and glass pens, that produce expressive lines (starting at ¥1,728) will also be available for purchase.

It would be nice to relax in the quiet mid-autumn Karuizawa before the leaves change color, and write down your thoughts while enjoying the aroma of coffee.
