Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics - Fall 2014, the world's largest international trade fair for apparel materials, will be held for four days from October 20th to 23rd at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China. With over 3,500 exhibitors from 30 countries, the trade fair is also an important venue for gathering information to forecast the latest trends for AW 2015-16. Intertextile's trend committee, comprised of NellyRodi Agency (France), Elementi Moda (Italy), Doneger Creative Services (USA), and Sachiko Inoue (Japan), has categorized the trends for AW 2015-16 into four categories: "Taste of Sugar," "Sense of Earth," "Fragrance of Berries," and "Optical Cocktail." This image will be expressed at the venue through an exhibition using the exhibited fabrics. This year, the committee is led by NellyRodi Agency, and attention will also be focused on eco-friendly and functional materials.
The Fabrics China Trend Forum, focusing on the domestic Chinese market, will focus on three categories: suits, casual wear/plush, and women's wear, with exhibits based on four themes: "Simple and Sincere 2.0," "Linking," "Playmaster," and "Supernatural Power."
In response to the rapid increase in demand for textile design in China in recent years, the "Verve for Design" zone, which brings together design studios, has expanded its exhibits by 56% from last year. Twenty design studios from eight countries and regions, including Italy, Spain, the UK, and Australia, will participate.
Following the success of last year's denim exhibition, the "Beyond Denim" space has also been expanded by 25%. The new hall, designed by the French agency NellyRodi Agency, will focus on four themes: "Premium Segment: Gold Life," "Fashion Segment: Show-Off Life," "Techno Segment: Future Life," and "Organic Segment: Conscious Life," and will introduce the latest denim trends as well as denim products and washing techniques.
Two other events, "Yarn Expo Autumn" and "PH Value," will also be held in parallel with the trade fair.
