Limited-time "Men's Shoe Bar" to Intoxicate Men and Women at Ginza Mitsukoshi

Sep 10, 2014

Ginza Mitsukoshi Shoes Bar will open on the 7th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi from September 10th to 23rd.

The concept is "a men's shoe corner that will intoxicate both men and women." Ginza Mitsukoshi focused on the bars that are deeply rooted in the Ginza district, and asked Takamitsu Shibuya of Bar Evans in Ginza 3-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and Tomohiro Nakagaki of YUHAKU, which has attracted attention for its unique dyeing techniques, to propose colors. Shibuya expressed the colors they came up with in cocktails, while Nakagaki used them to color CENTO FELINA and FREGINO.

These two shoes will be sold in four colors each (Cento Felina 41,000 yen, Fresino 33,000 yen). Both sizes range from 24.5cm to 26.5cm.

In addition, Nakagaki will be demonstrating hand-dyeing in-store on September 13th and 14th. Yuhak's greatest feature is said to be the dyeing technique he invented himself, so even if you're not a fan, it's worth seeing at least once. The coloring is done 100% with dye, and the technique of layering multiple colors by hand beautifully brings out the natural look of the leather, so the more you use it, the more it will develop a unique character, and you can enjoy the changes that occur over time.
